Quality & Environmental Management Policy

The company BIOMAK, whose scope covers the production and trading of biodiesel, implements a Quality and Environmental Management System that fully meets quality and environmental requirements as they evolve over time and as described in international, European, and national standards and guidelines.
The company’s Quality & Environmental Management System covers the Production and Sale of Biodiesel and has been designed according to the Company’s needs and objectives, as well as the Legal and Regulatory Requirements of the applicable Greek and Community Legislation.
The above Quality and Environmental Policy serves as a reference point and a commitment of the Management, as well as a collective effort by all contributors within the company.
All these actions aim to ensure the necessary returns for the smooth and efficient operation of the company.

To achieve the above, the company:

  •  has developed and implements a Quality Management System according to ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015 and an Environmental Management System according to ELOT EN ISO 14001:2015,
  •  provides all the necessary resources to ensure the uninterrupted, productive, and effective operation of the company, which are reviewed during the Management System Review,
  •  has created a suitable working environment that meets all requirements related to occupational safety and health,
  •  maintains a high level of staff competence through continuous training in their respective fields and performance evaluation,
  •  identifies and manages risks that could negatively affect the environment and product or service compliance,
  •  defines Quality and Environmental Objectives, reviews them periodically according to its needs, and monitors their achievement through the Management Review Process.

BIOMAK ensures sound environmental management (of waste and natural resources) through:

  •   taking all necessary measures for the prevention, reduction, treatment, and reuse of waste, as well as the reduction of resource consumption (energy, water, raw and auxiliary materials), by applying best available techniques, as part of its overall strategy,
  •   exceeding legislative requirements and maintaining a list of legislation, which is reviewed annually.

The commitment to the continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the Management System through the processes developed by BIOMAK constitutes a primary concern of the company and a guiding philosophy for every executive.
