The polymer modified bitumen produced is of high specifications, utilizing an elastomeric material.
Compared to conventional bitumen, the polymer modified bitumen we produce offers the following improvements:
• Increased resistance to permanent deformation, which typically occurs due to high temperatures and heavy traffic loads.
• Enhanced elastic recovery, resulting in the prevention of cracking in asphalt layers.
• Improved adhesion between the bitumen binder and aggregates, leading to a reduction or even elimination of aggregate stripping from the pavement surface.
• Better performance at low temperatures, due to increased elasticity.
All of the above result in the creation of safer and higher-quality pavements, with reduced maintenance frequency and extended service life.
