ΒΙΟΜΑΚ SA
BIOMAK S.A. is a continuously growing company that has been active since 2012 in the trading and production of bitumen products, as well as in the research of innovative methods for biofuel production.
• Today, the company holds a leading market share in bitumen exports to the countries of the Balkan area, with prospects for expansion into several European markets. BIOMAK S.A. trades all types of asphalt available from Greek refineries. Beyond the Greek territory, the company operates in various Balkan countries such as North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, and other countries within the wider regional market where demand is high.
• BIOMAK S.A. produces various types of polymer-modified bitumen (PMB). The modified bitumen produced is of high specifications, utilizing an elastomeric material that enhances its properties, such as:
o resistance to pavement deformation caused by high temperatures and heavy traffic loads
o increased elastic recovery of the asphalt surface to levels of 97%–99%
o stronger homogeneity of the pavement, eliminating phenomena such as rutting, aggregate detachment, and subsequent cracking, among others.

• At the same time, the company has developed its own know-how in biodiesel production methods, having fully designed and constructed its mechanical equipment based on the results of long-term research conducted in collaboration with universities and research institutions in Northern Greece.
The BIOMAK S.A. biodiesel production unit can utilize as feedstock primary vegetable oils, recycled cooking oils, animal fats, and livestock waste. It is a hybrid integrated production unit with continuous monitoring at every stage.
At full capacity, the biodiesel plant has a production capability of 20,000 metric tons per year. The product belongs to second-generation biofuels, and the production unit is fully capable of being adapted for third-generation biofuel production, aiming at further research and development in the field of alternative fuels and environmental protection — including responses to the challenges of the current geopolitical environment.
